Cornertstone-Missions

 

The Great commission to go into the world was not given to a few elect to accomplish. Yet it is a commission to all believers. Whether it is providing less fortunate children with a toy through Operation Christmas, Supporting missionaries in places like, Mexico, Egypt or Africa. Or personally Going To Peru and working on an orphanage.

Missions is not Merely what we do, but it’s who we are because we are all believers and together we can reach the world.

Matthew 25 International

The mission of The Matthew 25 Project is to organize and equip as many volunteers as we can to perform in meaningful, sacrificial capacities. As we feed, clothe and comfort our homeless guests, we also serve something even more basic: dignity and love.

Matthew 25 : 37 - 40

Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'

The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

Europe - Spain

 

As career missionaries with the Assemblies of God USA, the focus of our ministry in Spain is church planting and the discipleship of new believers within the context of partnering with the indigenous church. In the spirit of cooperation and fellowship, we applied for and received credentials with the Assemblies of God in Spain.

Locally, we are members and elders of the mother church in Tarragona, a church that is pastored by Juan Antonio Lopez, a man who has a vision for planting churches in this region, La Costa Dorada (The Golden Coast). The mother church currently has church plants in Torredembarra and Reus and the pioneer work in Cambrils.

During our first 18 months in Spain we worked in the church plant in Reus, mentoring the new, young pastor and ministering in all capacities. In May 2007 we moved to Cambrils for the purpose of pioneering a mission church. Cambrils (approximate population of 40,000, which doubles during the summer months due to tourism) had only one small evangelical church, which is among the gypsy culture.

God first called Ellena Munguia to the children of Romania while she was student at Southwestern Assemblies of God University.   She has always had a burden to work and care for children in need. After graduation, she came to Romania to work in an orphanage in the village of Ocna Mures. It was there that she truly fell love with Romanian children. After living in the country for six months she moved to the capital city and was instrumental in helping to establish the Bucharest abandoned babies rescue outreach.

Today Ellena is a full time missionary with the Assemblies of God World Missions, USA, partnering with Touched Romania. God is using her in special ways to reach his children in Romania.

We are Tom and Kathi Moore,  Assemblies of God World Missionaries working in Belize.  Some of our responsibilities include teaching at the Assemblies of God Bible Institute in Belize City, working as the National Representatives for Latin America Child Care, and training local pastors.  Tom is also assisting the local church in construction and provides ministry to the National Police Department.

We are newly appointed Assemblies of God missionaries.  Our field assignment will be to serve with Builders International in assisting other Assemblies of God world missionaries with large construction projects around the world.

The mission of Builders International (B.I.) is to impact the spread of the Gospel around the world by building Bible institutes, training centers and other vital evangelism centers in every nation. Through B.I., professionals are linked to projects with needs in the following areas: master planning, feasibility studies, fund raising, finances, engineering, architectural and construction.

Operation_Christmas

The purpose of Operation Christmas is to provide a great CHRISTmas experience for struggling families through the gift of...GIFTS! This is a one night event hosted by Cornerstone Church, and is solely supported by donations throughout the months of November and December.

FCA

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes promotes unity within the school by meeting in the lobby of the New Gym every Monday for lunch. Cornerstone, along with other local churches, helps provide free lunches for the event. There is also a bible study and a great time for fellowship. So if you are a high school student come enjoy FCA!

South Texas Assemblies of God Girls Ministries is a tool used by our church to introduce girls to Jesus Christ and to train them to follow Him. It is a place for girls in the church to invite their friends to meet Jesus, gather with other girls who love God and be mentored by a sponsor who cares about them.


Our clubs include:

Rainbows--3-4 yr old girls & boys

Daisies--Kindergarten girls

Prims--1st & 2nd grade girls

Stars--3rd-5th grade girls
